Repertoire - The Silk Road Ensemble performs works commissioned by the Silk Road Project, traditional pieces from Silk Road lands, compositions that share a cross-cultural theme and new music inspired by the Project.

Recordings - Two recordings are available now: the first and only recording of the Silk Road Ensemble, Silk Road Journeys: When Strangers Meet (Sony Classical), and The Silk Road: A Musical Caravan (Smithsonian Folkways), recordings of traditional music from Silk Road lands.

Silk Road Ensemble - The Silk Road Ensemble is comprised of a collective of musicians from the Silk Road lands and the West. Performing new commissions as well as traditional music, the Ensemble is dedicated to exploring the relationship between tradition and innovation in music.

Artists - Learn about individual performing members of the Silk Road Ensemble, including musicians, storytellers and visual artists from around the world.

Composers – The Silk Road Project commissions new works and new arrangements of traditional music from both established and up-and-coming composers and arrangers, as well as from members of the Silk Road Ensemble.
