The Internet of Antiquity

The Silk Road, a vast network of trade routes, linked the people and traditions of Asia with those of Europe. These historic routes served as a major conduit for the transport of knowledge, information and material goods between East and West and resulted in the first global exchange of scientific and cultural traditions. It is the Silk Road Project's hope that the Internet and, in a small way, this website, will serve as the newest vehicles for such global exchanges with the potential to usher in a new era of creativity.
